MCVA associate professor Mirjana Pantic’s book “Digital News Literacy and Participatory Journalism: A Guide to Navigating Truth and the Information Landscape in the Digital Age,” will be published by Bloomsbury in 2026.
“The book equips readers with tools to critically evaluate information in an era shaped by disinformation, fake news, and algorithm-driven content,” Pantic shared in a LinkedIn post last week. “It also explores participatory journalism, highlighting the growing role of citizens in news production within an ever-evolving media landscape.”
The new publication inspired a new journalism course at Pace University, which she will teach next fall.
